Why Clients Love Working With Me

‘During our shoot, it was clear that Kelly took the time and dedication to make the session worth while.

While still providing her professional opinion, she made sure we felt comfortable, making us look natural in front of the lens. We will cherish these pictures for our lifetime!’

‘I had an AMAZING experience booking Kelly as my photographer for my surprise engagement! Kelly helped me all steps of the way with ideas and planning, also kept in touch all throughout the process (weeks in advance). Best of all the photos were incredible!! Far exceded all expectations!’

– Juan

‘Multiple people came up to us during our big day to remark that she was the best photographer that they’ve seen at a wedding. I really appreciated how organized and efficient she was before, during, and after the entire process! It snowed on our wedding day and I was floored at her level of preparation and professionalism: she proactively reached out to the hotel that we were staying at to check for alternative spaces for photos and turned a potentially disastrous outdoor photography session into a fun and stress-free indoor photo shoot.’

– Jessica

‘My husband started out a bit camera shy but Kelly was a pleasure to work with and by the end of the engagement photos we both felt completely at ease going into the wedding.

Kelly was able to work with us to adjust the schedule in a way that still got in all the formal photos we wanted. Besides the posed photos there are also so many good candids from the reception from the dance floor etc. We also had our highlights back on Monday from our Saturday night wedding, which were great to be able to share with our friends and family so quickly.’

– Heather

‘We first reached out to Kelly two years ago about photographing our wedding-- then COVID hit, and finally we were able to have it this summer! Kelly was extremely flexible and responsive through all the changes. She could not possibly have been kinder and more flexible and willing to travel when the location changed. Finally we were able to have the wedding and the photographs are just unbelievably beautiful. She did an absolutely amazing job capturing the day. She got highlights back to us very quickly which was so much fun to show our families before they went home. We couldn't possibly recommend her more highly.’

– Nicole

‘If you are looking for a photographer, look no further. Kelly is a dream to work with and her photos of our wedding and rehearsal dinner left us speechless! We felt so lucky to have her as our photographer. She is insanely organized, helpful, and responds to emails so quickly. She herds cats with grace ;)

Above all, she is thoughtful and a joy to be around. Kelly, thank you again for your stunning work. I’m so grateful for the care and attention you put into our photos. Can't wait to work together again in the future!’

Tell Your Story

I am a documentary-style photographer. This is how I tell your story.

For those of you (like me) who are not comfortable being photographed, I know that you can’t unwind in front of the camera until you trust the person behind the lens.

As such, I make sure that I am always professional, prompt, and prepared.  I visit my venues ahead of time and I always arrive with a shot list in hand.  I want to relieve any anxiety you have so that you can simply relax and look your best.  After 14 years of being in business, this is not my first rodeo.

I come to the shoot with ideas for where and how to position your body, but I always want you to take the suggestions that I give you and make them your own. I keep the shoot interesting with lots of activities across several locations during a session.  So, plan to dance, explore, kiss, and laugh when you come to one of my shoots.  Basically, just plan to be yourself.

My Story

I see photography as the art of visually telling a story within a single frame.  My path to becoming a professional photographer began after pursuing a career as a screenwriter. But while chasing the bright lights, big screen of Hollywood, I somehow wound up working in the financial world.  In 2010, I decided that I could not ignore my creative side any longer and opened my own photography business in New York City.

I have taken courses at the International Center of Photography, though I am pretty much self-taught with a degree in art history and Medieval and Renaissance studies from Emory University.  Simply always having a camera in my bag has taught me so much more than sitting in a classroom ever could.

Finally, I would not be the photographer I am today without the places I have called home. I originally hail from the Sunshine State, went to college in Atlanta, lived in New York City for 21 years, and am now a new resident of San Antonio.  So, if you see me on the street with a camera in hand, stop and say, ‘Hi.’  I would love to show you the world through my lens.
